Tan Chang, Assistant Researcher at Micius Laboratory, specializes in thermoelectric energy conversion materials physics and semiconductor photodetectors. Primary research directions: (1) Designing high-performance thermoelectric materials through synergistic compositional engineering (doping/solid solution/multicomponent alloying) and advanced processing (hot pressing/hot deformation/levitaing melting) to coordinately regulate carrier concentration, band structure, grain boundary potential barriers, and phonon transport, significantly enhancing ZT values in BiSbTe-based room-temperature and NbFeSb-based high-temperature systems; (2) Developing room-temperature infrared photodetectors by optimizing magnetron-sputtered Bi?Te? thin films, integrating localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) and Fabry-Pérot (FP) cavities for broadband optical enhancement, establishing opto-thermo-electrical models to elucidate microstructural control of hot-carrier/phonon dynamics, and fabricating micro-nano thermoelectric modules to achieve high-detectivity rapid-response devices; (3) Fabricating high-temperature single-photon avalanche detectors via epitaxial/optical design of Separate Absorption, Grading, Charge, and Multiplication (SAGCM) APDs combined with MOCVD planar selective epitaxy and zinc diffusion, realizing InGaAs-based devices exhibiting 20 kHz typical dark count rate under 0°C temperature control. Participated in 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China General Projects (52171216, 51702334), published 17 SCI papers in international journals including Cell Reports Physical Science, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Small, authored 5 first-author SCI publications.
