Zhu Zhihang

Zhihang Zhu, assistant researcher at Micius Laboratory. Currently I am dedicated to the design and development of semiconductor single-photon detection devices, my research interests include: (1) Simulation and mechanism studies of compound semiconductor devices; (2) Application of semiconductor detection devices for fields in communication, imaging and others. I have engaged in detector development and experimental physics analysis for applications such as particle physics experiment, nuclear detection, and photon detection, with expertise in detector system R&D and detector physics simulation analysis. At Shandong University, I participated in the pre-research for the RHIC-STAR experiment TPC upgrade, conducting research on ion backflow suppression using Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM). During my doctoral studies at the Institute of High Energy Physics, CAS, as a collaborating member, I participated in the development of advanced liquid scintillator for the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), and contributed to the development and engineering implementation of optical performance optimization subsystems of the liquid scintillator. I also developed an ultra-low-level radon isotope measurement system based on semiconductor PIN photodetectors. I have co-authored 6 related SCI-indexed papers, including 1 first-author SCI paper.
